Dog Building is open Friday 12:00-8:00 - Saturday 12:00-8:00 - Sunday 12:00-6:00 pm.

 
The dog show Building is under the GRANDSTAND. We are there to educate the public on different Breeds of dogs that would be a dog for them.  (when they are looking for a family pet)
 
The dog show is open for the public at 10:30 a.m. Obedience fun class and for 4-Hers

Classes offered are: Pre Novice and Novice classes.

We have a Open dog show at 3:00 p.m., this show is conformation class which means,  a beauty contest on how nice your dogs movement,  looks, temperament, and how well the dog trots on leash.

All dog entry's will win a prize.  No one leaves with out a prize.

Dogs are split up in 7 GROUP classes:

  • Sporting
  • Working
  • Non-sporting
  • Terrier
  • Herding
  • Toys
  • Hounds

Prize are offered for best in show dog.
 
We also have puppy classes: 6-9, 9-12 months of age. all pups are judged to gather.
There is a prize offered for best Puppy in show.

All dogs MUST have a Rabies certificate to enter or be on the grounds at the fair.
 
All Breeds and Mix breeds are welcome for the show.
This is a
FUN show so you can show off your dog!

4-H Dog Show

Come check out the hard work and dedication of the 4-H youth and their dogs at this year’s 4-H Dog Show. This year’s show is taking place on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place in the 4-H Building at the Carlton County Fairgrounds, in Barnum. The youth have been working towards this event all summer and would like to show you what their dogs can do! Classes the dogs will be judged in include obedience and showmanship.

Blue ribbon winners will have the opportunity to advance to the State 4-H Dog Show. The 4-H’ers of Carlton County and their fun loving pups will be happy to see you on August 10th, at this year’s 4-H Dog Show!
